Greater interaction between companies and faster decision-making.

The FECS Group, headed by entrepreneur Olivo Foglieni, was founded in 1999 with the aim of creating a company entirely focused on the recovery and processing of aluminium metal.

The Group is involved in the entire aluminium recovery value chain through a verticalized system: from the recovery of metal waste, with plants capable of separating aluminium from other metals and/or components, to the valorization of raw materials, ending with the production of semi-finished products, including die-cast and design radiators.

A circular group rooted in the Bergamo area, which, over the years, has reached an aggregated turnover of €280 million and employs around 400 people across 8 production sites.

Given the Group’s rapid growth, the magnitude of the induced economic impact, and the importance of the vertical flow across the entire production chain, the ownership has, in the past 12 months, reconsidered its management structure, completing a “unification” project of the various legal entities into two dedicated Business Units focused on the core activities.

The first Business Unit is tasked with overseeing the entire value chain of raw material recovery from waste and the subsequent production and commercialization of semi-finished aluminium products – ingots – made from secondary aluminium. The second unit is focused on the production and sale of radiators (both die-cast and extruded) for domestic heating.

The goal of this ambitious project (purely managerial in nature) is to achieve even greater integration of the value chain through the unification of product and purchasing/sales strategies, thanks to the intensification of relationships among people across the different production sites, maximizing the synergies that come from twenty years of industry knowledge.

Sharing more complete and real-time information, combined with the stratification of key roles—aggregated within the two BU by front-line figures who have enabled the team to achieve incredible goals in recent years—will ensure faster decision-making and shorter action times.

A paradigm shift strongly desired by ownership to enable management based on a unified long-term strategic vision. This vision will allow the Group to interpret and seize situations and opportunities in a new and more dynamic way, with the main focus being on fostering collaboration and interaction between people and the different companies to achieve a better overall vision and enhance the sense of belonging to the Group.
