“There is no economic development without planning, and there is no planning without having put in place the infrastructures that allow us to operate.” This is how Olivo Foglieni, Vice President of Confindustria Bergamo, comments on the issue of the freight railway terminal.
The issue is still unresolved, but efforts are underway to find a solution as soon as possible, as the situation risks causing significant harm to local manufacturing businesses due to the lack of or delayed authorizations for exceptional transports.
For these reasons, a position paper has been formulated, proposing a set of priorities based on five criteria:
- urgency
- economic coverage
- speed of implementation
- administrative simplicity
- connection value
Regarding the environment and safety delegation, the priorities are the protection of health and safety in the workplace and providing support to businesses to ensure they operate in compliance with environmental standards.
A significant project is the WHP (Workplace Health Promotion) shared with ATS of Bergamo, which focuses on actions aimed at improving the health and well-being of workers within companies. Additionally, a Risk Management program has been launched to manage the safety of machinery and plants throughout their lifecycle.
