Doing business sustainably also means paying attention to the territory in which one operates, promoting actions that benefit society and people. With great pride, we share the news that our President, Olivo Foglieni, received the Sensi Award, the most prestigious recognition in Bergamasco football, during the Galà del Calcio Bergamasco, held at the “Le due Torri” shopping center in Stezzano.

The Sensi Award, now in its 25th edition, is presented each year to a prominent leader in Bergamasco football. Its honor roll features names of great value and now Foglieni joins this list of excellence.

This is the perfect opportunity to highlight the commitment, not only professional but also personal, that our President has for his territory and, by extension, the Bergamasco community. In fact, Foglieni served as president of USD Ciserano Calcio 1951 for over 10 years, helping lead the team from promotion to Serie D, a highly prestigious achievement.

In 2019, he embarked on an ambitious project that saw the merger of the amateur club with VIRTUS BERGAMO, based in Alzano Lombardo, creating the new entity S.S.D. Virtus Ciserano Bergamo 1909.

By joining forces, Foglieni and his partners have built an ambitious, long-term project, aimed at becoming a solid point of reference for youth and amateur football, deeply rooted in the provincial and regional territories.

Today, the club has over 14 teams spread across two Bergamasco areas, with more than 280 athletes, including 108 children and young people in the Ciserano area and 158 in Alzano Lombardo. Additionally, the first team still competes in Serie D with excellent results.

Through this project, an important hub for aggregation, training and entertainment has been created, where young people not only find a place to have fun but also a true school of life. They learn the values of real football, guided by top-level professionals and volunteers who, every day, provide their unwavering support with dedication and care.

The Sensi Award recognizes Foglieni’s ongoing commitment to creating a socio-economic context that allows everyone to express their individuality, offering concrete support to families and future generations, in addition to his role as an entrepreneur and professional in his companies.
